Installers Working in Classified Areas

Electricians who need a listed sealing fitting for hazardous locations will use this part to block flame passage in conduit systems. Projects that require a different trade size, a male-threaded entry, or a non-metallic sealing method must select another product.

3/4-Inch Female NPT Thread Size

The fitting accepts 3/4-inch rigid metal conduit with female National Pipe Taper threads on each end. This single dimension determines whether the component matches the conduit run; verify the trade size before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the sealing compound inside the 3/4 in fitting need periodic replacement?

The fitting is a mechanical conduit seal; once properly installed with approved sealing compound it requires no scheduled compound replacement.

What is the first limitation when this 3/4 in aluminum fitting runs continuously in a hazardous location?

Its hazardous-location rating (Class I Div 1/2, Class II Div 1/2, Class III) defines the environmental limit; exceeding the rated atmosphere voids the protection.

Does the aluminum body run hot or draw extra power when sealing conduit all day?

It is a passive fitting with no electrical consumption, so it generates no heat and draws no power during continuous operation.
