A hazardous-location flex coupling with 18 in flexible length and bronze construction for 1/2 in conduit connections
This bronze flex coupling is rated for Class I Division 1 and 2, Groups A through D, Class II Division 1 and 2, Groups E through G, and Class III hazardous locations. It connects rigid conduit runs where vibration or movement requires a flexible link. Electrical contractors and maintenance teams use it in refineries, chemical plants and grain-handling facilities.
The assembly provides an 18 in flex length and an overall length of 24 1/8 in, giving enough reach to bridge misaligned conduit ends or absorb equipment vibration. The bronze hose with steel union handles repeated flexing in corrosive atmospheres. It is not suited for runs that require a longer flexible section or for non-hazardous general-purpose wiring where a simpler fitting would suffice.
Ends are 1/2 in FNPT female by 1/2 in MNPT male, allowing direct threading into existing conduit bodies or enclosures without adapters. Bronze material resists corrosion in wet or chemical environments while the steel union adds mechanical strength. The 2 1/16 in overall height and width fit within standard conduit-body profiles, though installers should verify clearance in tight junction boxes.

Yes, the female NPT end accepts standard 1/2 in male conduit threads, so it connects directly to rigid or IMC conduit you already have.
The steel union nut should draw the bronze body tight against the conduit shoulder with no visible thread gaps, and the 18 in flexible section should move freely without binding.
Only the bronze flex coupling with steel union is supplied; locknuts, bushings and any sealing compounds are purchased separately.
