Weatherproof Aluminum Box

The Killark FSC-2 is a single-gang electrical enclosure built from aluminum with a gray finish. It is intended for indoor or outdoor wiring junctions where moisture or dust resistance is required.

18 Cubic-Inch Capacity Limit

The box provides 18 cu in of internal volume, which caps the number and size of conductors that can be installed under code fill rules. Two opposing hubs accept conduit entries, and the lug brackets fix the unit to a mounting surface.

Conductor Fill And Device Space

The 18 cu in capacity comfortably handles a typical lighting junction or a single receptacle with a few conductors. It runs out when multiple large-gauge cables or a bulky device such as a GFCI receptacle are added, leaving insufficient free volume for safe installation.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 18 cu in aluminum box or a larger size for my wiring job?

Choose the 18 cu in capacity when your conductor count and device fill stay within that volume; step up only if the circuit requires more cubic inches.

What does the 18 cu in capacity actually allow inside the box?

It provides space for up to 18 cubic inches of conductors, devices and fittings so connections remain code-compliant and uncramped.

How do the two hubs and CSA/UL listing affect the installation?

Two opposing hubs accept conduit or cable entries, while CSA and UL listing confirm the aluminum enclosure meets the safety standards required for weatherproof use.
