Seals a 2-inch conduit hub in hazardous locations with electroplated steel construction rated for Class I, II, III divisions and zones
The Killark PLUG6 is a 2-inch recessed conduit plug designed for hazardous-location electrical systems. It provides a male-to-male threaded seal for 2-inch trade-size conduit hubs or tapped holes. The fitting carries Class I Division 1 and 2, Class II Division 1 and 2, and Class III Division 1 and 2 ratings across multiple gas and dust groups. It is not intended for non-hazardous general-purpose conduit runs or for trade sizes other than 2 inches.
The body is made from electroplated steel with a silver finish for corrosion resistance in harsh environments. Overall dimensions are 1 inch in length, 1 inch in height and 2 1/2 inches in width. The unit weighs .81 lb. No thermal, acoustic or electrical power-draw specifications apply to this passive sealing component.
The product ships as a single blank plug with no additional gaskets, locknuts, thread sealant or installation tools. The electroplated finish is the only surface treatment provided. No software, firmware or configuration utilities are associated with this mechanical fitting.

Thread the male NPT end into the hub until the recessed face sits flush. The step often missed is applying PTFE tape or pipe-thread sealant to the threads before tightening.
The electroplated steel resists corrosion under normal service; inspect periodically for coating damage or rust, and replace the plug if the finish is compromised or threads are worn.
The plug carries no current, so heat is not a limit; the first limit is mechanical — thread galling or seal degradation from repeated removal and re-installation.
