Cargo Strap for Flat-Bed Use

The Kinedyne 512020GRA is a 20 ft gold polyester tie-down built for flat-bed cargo securement. Its flat-hook steel ends and ratchet adjustment suit drivers and fleet operators who need a single, high-visibility strap for general freight duty.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The strap carries a working load limit of 3,335 lb and a breaking strength of 10,000 lb, giving a clear margin for prolonged tension during transit. Polyester construction resists stretch under continuous load, while the gold colour aids quick visual inspection for wear or damage over long hauls.

Upgrade Path and Limits

It replaces lighter-duty straps or worn webbing when the job demands the stated 3,335 lb working limit and 2 in width. The jump is worth it when flat-hook attachment points are standard and a six-month manufacturer warranty matches the replacement cycle. Buyers needing different end fittings, narrower webbing or a higher working load should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the Kinedyne 512020GRA generate when tensioned all day?

The strap is passive webbing with a ratchet mechanism; it produces no heat and no audible noise while holding a load.

What anchor points must already exist on the trailer for the flat hooks on this strap to work?

The 2‑inch flat hooks require compatible flat‑bed anchor points or stake pockets on the trailer.

Will the 20 ft length and 3,335 lb working load limit still be safe if I pair this strap with older tie‑down rings?

Yes, provided the older rings are rated for at least 3,335 lb and accept a 2‑inch flat hook.
