Cargo Strap for Flat Bed Loads

This Kinedyne 532784GRA cargo strap is built for securing heavy freight on flat beds. Its polyester webbing and zinc-plated steel J-hooks handle a working load limit of 3,335 lb with a breaking strength of 10,000 lb. The 27 ft length and 2 in width suit oversized cargo. Professional haulers and fleet operators get a gold-finished tie-down rated to WSTDA standards.

Sustained Tension on Long Hauls

Under continuous load the polyester webbing resists stretch better than nylon, keeping tension stable across hundreds of miles. The ratchet mechanism maintains clamping force without slipping when vibration is constant. Zinc-coated steel end fittings resist corrosion from road salt and weather exposure. The 6-month manufacturer warranty covers defects during regular commercial use.

Replaces Worn or Underrated Straps

This unit upgrades from lighter straps rated below 3,335 lb working load limit when cargo weight approaches that threshold. It replaces frayed webbing or corroded hardware that fails inspection. The 27 ft length covers loads shorter straps cannot span. Buyers needing a higher breaking strength than 10,000 lb or a different end fitting style should select another model.

Questions about this item

Does the ratchet mechanism on the 27 ft Gold cargo strap generate heat or noise during extended tensioning?

The ratchet is a manual mechanical component with no motor or electrical parts, so it produces no heat and only minimal audible clicks when tensioning the strap.

What anchor points or vehicle fittings are required to use the J-Hook ends on this 2 in wide strap?

The J-Hooks are designed to latch onto standard flatbed stake pockets, D-rings or similar tie-down points that accept a 2 in wide hook opening.

Will the 3,335 lb working load limit of this polyester strap safely secure loads on an older flatbed with worn stake pockets?

The strap meets WSTDA standards at 3,335 lb WLL, but the anchor points on the older flatbed must also be rated for at least that capacity to ensure a safe system.
