Kingston Brass KB651SW tub and shower faucet

The Kingston Brass KB651SW is a single-handle tub and shower faucet finished in polished chrome. It includes a pressure-balanced valve to maintain steady water temperature during supply fluctuations. A diverter, valve and ADA-compliant lever handle are supplied as standard.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This faucet suits bathrooms that need a combined tub and shower control with a single lever and 2.5 GPM flow. Buyers who want a multi-function shower head, a separate hand-shower or a higher flow rate should consider other models.

Deciding specification: 2.5 GPM showerhead flow rate

The showerhead delivers 2.5 gallons per minute, which determines the water volume available for rinsing. If local codes or personal preference require a lower flow, this model will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

What plumbing rough-in is required before installing the KB651SW tub and shower faucet?

The pressure-balanced valve is included with the faucet and installs inside the wall; supply lines must be roughed to standard 1/2-inch connections.

Will the 8.13-inch shower arm reach clear an existing tub deck that is wider than average?

The 8.13-inch arm reach and 5-inch tub spout reach are fixed dimensions; measure your current deck clearance to confirm fit before purchase.

How can I verify the pressure-balanced valve is maintaining a steady temperature after installation?

Run the shower at the 2.5 GPM flow rate while flushing a toilet; the lever handle should hold the set temperature without sudden hot or cold spikes.
