Metropolitan Shower Only Oil Rubbed Bronze

This single-handle shower trim delivers a 2.2 gpm flow through a pressure-balanced washerless cartridge. The brass body and metal cross handle suit contemporary bathrooms where a clean, shower-only configuration is required.

Sustained pressure balance

The cartridge maintains a steady mix of hot and cold water even when supply pressure fluctuates elsewhere in the house. Brass construction resists internal corrosion so the balance remains reliable over long daily use.

Straightforward rough-in fit

Standard 1/2-inch IPS inlets accept common supply stub-outs without adapters. The included escutcheon covers the valve opening cleanly, and the single cross handle mounts directly on the cartridge stem, leaving few alignment issues.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 2.2 Gpm flow rate produce during long showers?

The shower runs at 2.2 Gpm with a single normal spray pattern; the brass body and pressure-balanced washerless cartridge operate silently and add no measurable heat to the room.

What plumbing connections must already be in place for the 1/2 Ips inlets?

You need existing 1/2-inch IPS hot and cold supply lines behind the wall; the valve installs directly onto those inlets with no extra adapters.

Will the pressure-balanced cartridge work reliably with an older home's fluctuating supply pressure?

Yes, the pressure-balanced washerless cartridge automatically compensates for pressure changes on either supply line, keeping temperature steady even with aged plumbing.
