Restoration Tub/Shower Faucet

The Kingston Brass Restoration tub/shower faucet combines solid brass construction with an oil rubbed bronze finish that resists tarnishing and corrosion. A porcelain lever handle operates a pressure balanced washerless cartridge with a temperature check stop. The set includes a 6 reach shower arm and connects via 1/2 IPS inlets.

Installation Requirements

Verify that your plumbing uses 1/2 IPS connections and that supply pressure is near 60 psi to achieve the rated flow. The pressure balance valve requires both hot and cold lines to function correctly. Ensure the wall opening accommodates the included escutcheon and the 6 reach shower arm projection.

Upgrade Considerations

This faucet replaces older two-handle or non-pressure-balanced fixtures with a single porcelain lever and integrated temperature check stop. The jump is worth it when you need scald protection and a classic oil rubbed bronze look backed by a ten year limited warranty. Buyers who want multiple spray patterns or a hand shower should consider a different system.

Questions about this item

Does the box include the pressure-balance valve and shower arm, or do I need to buy them separately?

The complete set ships with the pressure-balance valve, 6-inch reach shower arm, porcelain lever handle and escutcheon — no extra parts are required for installation.

The specs list both 2.5 Gpm at 60 Psi and 2.2 Gpm — which flow rate will I actually get?

The valve is rated to deliver 2.5 Gpm (9.5 Lpm) at 60 Psi, while the overall fixture flow rate is 2.2 Gpm; your household pressure will determine the exact output.

How does the 1/4-turn washerless cartridge affect daily temperature control?

The quarter-turn cartridge lets you set temperature with a short, smooth lever movement, and the pressure-balance mechanism keeps the mix steady when other fixtures are used.
