Pedestal Y-Type Towel Rack

The Kingston Brass SCC2281 Pedestal Y-Type Towel Rack is a floor-standing bath accessory designed for contemporary bathrooms. Its Y-shaped frame provides multiple rods so bath and hand towels stay within easy reach. Constructed from solid steel with a corrosion- and tarnish-resistant Oil Rubbed Bronze finish, it offers rust-free durability. The freestanding design suits renters or owners who want towel storage without wall mounting.

Quick no-tool installation

The rack assembles in minutes without tools, so there is no need to drill into tile or locate studs. This saves time during a bathroom refresh and avoids permanent alterations to the room. The finished unit simply sits on the floor, making it easy to reposition if the layout changes. Solid steel construction keeps the frame stable once placed.

Check floor space and finish match

Measure the available floor area against the overall dimensions of 9 by 28 by 32-11/16 inches to confirm the rack will fit without blocking doors or drawers. Verify that the Oil Rubbed Bronze tone coordinates with existing faucets, hardware and lighting fixtures. Ensure the surface is level so the freestanding unit stands securely. Buyers who need wall-mounted storage or a different finish should consider other options.

Questions about this item

Will the Oil Rubbed Bronze finish need any special care to keep it from tarnishing?

The finish is described as corrosion and tarnish resistant, so routine wiping with a soft cloth is all that is required to maintain its appearance.

What is the tallest towel this rack can hold without the bottom touching the floor?

The overall height is 32-11/16 inches, so any towel folded over the upper rods must be shorter than that distance from rod to floor.

How much heat does the steel frame absorb if the bathroom stays steamy all day?

Solid steel will reach ambient temperature quickly, but it does not generate heat itself and will not become hot to the touch under normal bathroom conditions.
