32 GB Golden USB 3.1 Flash Drive

This Kingston USB flash drive provides 32 GB of portable storage in a gold-coloured metal casing. It connects via USB 3.1 and includes a lanyard for easy carrying. The drive suits users who need a compact physical medium for transferring documents, media or backups between computers.

Upgrade from USB 2.0 or smaller drives

The USB 3.1 interface delivers read speeds up to 100 MB/s and write speeds between 10 and 15 MB/s, a clear step up from USB 2.0 limits. The jump is worth it when moving large files such as video projects or disc images where transfer time matters. Buyers who need sustained write performance above 15 MB/s or capacities beyond 32 GB should look elsewhere.

Fits any USB-A port, frees up cloud reliance

The standard USB-A connector works with USB 3.1, 3.0 and older ports on desktops, laptops and compatible devices without extra cables. The metal casing protects the drive during transport, while the attached lanyard reduces the chance of loss. Local storage removes dependence on internet bandwidth or subscription limits for routine file access.

Questions about this item

Does the metal casing add bulk that could block adjacent USB ports?

The drive uses a metal casing with a compact pen-drive form factor, so it fits alongside other devices without blocking neighbouring ports.

Is any driver or software installation required before the drive works?

No driver is needed; plug the USB 3.1 connector into a USB 3.0 or 3.1 port and the operating system recognises the 32 GB volume immediately.

How durable is the gold finish and the included lanyard attachment for daily carry?

The metal casing resists scratches on the gold finish, and the built-in lanyard loop is moulded into the body so it will not detach with normal use.
