KitchenAid Ribbed Soft Silicone Oven Mitts

This set includes two oven mitts designed for home cooks who need reliable heat protection while handling hot cookware. Each mitt measures 7.5 inches by 13 inches and features a ribbed silicone exterior for a secure grip. The grey colour provides a neutral look suitable for any kitchen environment. They are sold new as a coordinated pair.

Cotton cuff and polyester lining integration

The 100% cotton cuff extends coverage past the wrist while the polyester lining adds insulation and comfort during use. Silicone construction makes the mitts waterproof and resistant to hot spills or steam. This design frees the user from needing separate pot holders for brief transfers. Hand washing is recommended to maintain the materials.

Sustained heat resistance up to 500 degrees

The silicone remains stable at temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit during prolonged contact with hot dishes or bakeware. Ribbed texturing maintains grip even when the surface becomes wet or oily over time. Cotton cuffs continue to shield lower forearms during extended oven work. Performance stays consistent across repeated heating cycles.

Questions about this item

How long can I hold a 500 °F pan before heat reaches my hand?

The silicone is rated to 500 °F, but the cotton cuff and polyester lining only delay heat transfer; prolonged contact will still burn you, so limit grip time to a few seconds.

Do the mitts stay cool and dry during a full day of cooking?

Silicone repels water and the ribbed texture keeps grip secure, yet the material absorbs ambient heat over hours; expect the mitts to feel warm after extended use.

What else do I need to handle a heavy roasting pan safely?

Each mitt measures 7.5" x 13" and fits most adult hands, but lifting a large, heavy pan also requires forearm strength and a stable counter surface.
