Dual-chamber bamboo spice keeper

The KITCHENDAO KD0372 is a dual-chamber food storage container carved from bamboo and finished with mineral oil. Each compartment holds 7 oz of salt, pepper, herbs or seasoning blends. A built-in serving spoon sits inside the divider so spices stay clean and untouched by fingers. The swivel lid locks magnetically to prevent accidental opening during handling or storage.

Replaces shakers and open bowls

This box replaces loose shakers, open ramekins or plastic packets that let moisture in and flavors escape. The magnetic swivel lid seals each chamber with one-handed operation, keeping contents dry while you cook. The jump is worth it when you want measured pinches instead of uncontrolled pours and when you prefer a natural material that adds no chemical scent to delicate spices.

Limits of bamboo construction

Bamboo is not dishwasher safe, microwave safe or freezer safe; hand wash only with a damp cloth and air dry in a ventilated spot. The mineral-oil finish requires occasional re-oiling to maintain water resistance and prevent the wood from drying or cracking. The fixed 7 oz chambers cannot be resized, so bulk buyers needing larger volumes will need additional containers.

Questions about this item

What are the exact external dimensions of the KD0372 container?

The box measures 12.7 cm wide by 12.7 cm deep by 6.5 cm high, so check that your countertop or cabinet shelf has at least that footprint plus a little clearance for the swivel lid to rotate.

How do I clean the bamboo cellar and its built-in spoon without damaging the finish?

Wipe the interior and spoon with a damp cloth, then let both pieces air-dry completely in a ventilated spot; the unit is not dishwasher-safe and must never be soaked or put in the microwave or freezer.

Will the mineral-oil coating on the bamboo need reapplication over time?

Yes — periodic re-oiling with food-grade mineral oil keeps the wood from drying out and preserves the no-chemical-smell finish after repeated hand-washing cycles.
