6-piece drill tap kit for quick-change power tools
The Klein Tools 32217 kit supplies six high-speed-steel drill tap bits that drill, tap and deburr in a single pass. Each bit locks into a quick-connect chuck for fast swaps on cordless or corded drills. The set covers common machine-screw threads from 6-32 up to 1/4-20. A moulded carrying case keeps the pieces organised on site.
Material limits: high-speed steel on thin metals
High-speed steel handles aluminium, brass, copper, plastic and mild steel up to 10 gauge thickness. Harder alloys, thicker plate or stainless steel will dull the cutting edges quickly. The bits are not designed for wood, masonry or heavy structural steel. Cooling or lubrication is recommended for extended use in metal.
Capacity covered: six standard thread sizes included
The kit provides 6-32, 8-32, 10-32, 10-24, 12-24 and 1/4-20 taps, covering the most frequent electrical-box and panel fasteners. Larger diameters, metric threads or special pitches are not included. Users needing those sizes must source separate taps.
