5 Piece SAE Fold-Up Hex Key Set

The Klein Tools 409-70579 provides five heat-treated alloy steel hex blades in a compact fold-up format. It is designed for technicians and DIY users who need a portable set of SAE keys for common fastening tasks. The fold-out notches allow each blade to lock at 180 degrees for straight access or 90 degrees for right-angle leverage. Silver steel construction resists wear during repeated use.

Fold-Up Design and Angle Constraints

The fold-up mechanism limits each blade to two fixed positions: fully extended at 180 degrees or angled at 90 degrees. Continuous angle adjustment is not possible, so the tool cannot match arbitrary fastener orientations. Blade length is constrained by the handle size, reducing reach in deep recesses compared to individual long-arm keys. The set covers only the five included SAE sizes; additional sizes require a separate purchase.
