Essential 6-Piece Electrician Kit

This Klein Tools 80080 kit supplies the core hand tools an electrician reaches for daily: two screwdrivers, three pliers and a wire stripper-cutter. Made in USA since 1857, the set delivers professional-grade durability for residential and commercial wiring tasks.

Electricians Who Need a Compact Core Set

The six-piece count covers basic stripping, cutting, gripping and driving, but it leaves no room for specialised crimpers, fish tapes or insulated drivers. Buyers who want a broader service kit or dedicated torque tools should look at larger assortments.

46-Percent Greater Cutting Leverage

High-leverage pliers place the rivet closer to the cutting edge, giving 46-Percent more cutting and gripping power than standard designs. The angled head on the diagonal cutters and precision-ground stripping holes for 10-20 AWG stranded wire complete the decisive spec.

Questions about this item

Will the 9-inch New England nose pliers fit in the same tool pouch as my older 8-inch Klein pliers?

The 9-inch New England nose pliers are longer than the 8-inch diagonal and needle nose models in this kit, so they need a deeper pouch pocket than older 8-inch Klein pliers.

How can I confirm the wire stripper is calibrated for 10-20 AWG stranded wire after first use?

Strip a known 10 AWG and 20 AWG stranded sample; clean cuts with no nicked conductors mean the six precision-ground holes are working to spec.

Does the 80080 kit include a carrying case or must I buy one separately?

The kit ships as a 6-piece set without a case; a compatible tool bag or pouch is sold separately.
