Swivel Snap Hook for Canvas Buckets

The Klein Tools swivel snap hook is built for hoisting canvas buckets on the job site. Its bronze body and spring-loaded latch provide a secure connection while the swivel eye prevents line twist during use. This hook is not rated for occupational fall protection.

Working Load Limit 150 lb

The hook carries a working load limit of 150 lb, which defines the maximum force it should sustain in normal service. Exceeding this limit risks permanent deformation or sudden failure of the bronze casting. Always match the load to this rated capacity before hoisting.

Hook Opening 5/8 in

The 5/8 in hook opening sets the maximum thickness of the bucket bail or attachment point that can engage the latch. Bucket hardware wider than this dimension will not seat properly and could disengage under load. Verify the bail size before relying on the connection.

Questions about this item

How do I decide between the listed versions or capacities for this hook?

The product is offered as a single bronze swivel snap hook with a 150 lb working load limit and .30 lb weight, so there are no alternate capacities to choose between.

What does the 150 lb working load limit mean when the hook is actually in use?

It is the maximum load the hook is rated to support during hoisting tasks such as canvas buckets, not for occupational protection.

What interface or standard applies to the swivel eye and what does it cap in practice?

The swivel eye has a 3/4 in inner diameter and the spring-loaded latch controls the 5/8 in hook opening, limiting the connection size and load to the rated 150 lb.
