Product Identity

KMC COL1609AL cushioned clamps come in a pack of 25 and suit installers securing 1-inch diameter cables or hoses. The aluminum 5052 band with EPDM rubber liner resists vibration and protects the jacket from abrasion.

Installation Checks

Verify the mounting surface accepts a .2813-inch fastener hole and that the .032-inch band thickness clears adjacent components. Confirm the half-inch band width fits the available space and that the operating environment stays within the stated temperature range.

Sustained Load Behaviour

EPDM cushioning maintains grip and damping through repeated thermal cycles from -65 F to +250 F without hardening. Aluminum 5052 construction resists corrosion and fatigue when the assembly vibrates continuously over long service periods.

Questions about this item

Does the pack of 25 cushioned clamps include mounting bolts or do I need to buy them separately?

The package supplies 25 clamps only; mounting bolts are not included and must be sourced separately.

Should I choose the aluminium 5052 version or a different finish for a 1 in cable run?

This model uses aluminium 5052 with a natural finish and black EPDM cushion, which covers the stated temperature range and cable diameter.

What does the 0.2813 in mounting hole mean when I bolt the clamp to a panel?

The 0.2813 in hole accepts a standard 1/4 in bolt, and the 0.032 in band thickness keeps the assembly low-profile on the panel.
