High-leverage diagonal cutting pliers
The 5 1/2 in tool uses high-leverage geometry to multiply hand force, giving clean cuts in wire up to 0.125 in diameter. The fixed head has no offset angle and a standard cut profile for general-purpose work. It is not insulated, so it must not be used on live circuits.
Tether-ready attachment point
A built-in tether hole lets the pliers connect to a lanyard or tool belt, reducing drop risk when working at height or over machinery. No insulated grips or ESD-safe coating are fitted, so the tool does not meet requirements for electrical or static-sensitive environments.
Manual jaw opening limits speed
The jaws open and close only by hand pressure, so repetitive cutting is slower than with spring-return or compound-action models. The 5/8 in cutter length and 3/4 in jaw width restrict access in tight assemblies, and the tool lacks non-sparking certification for hazardous atmospheres.

Questions about this item
Will the cutting edges on the 5 1/2 in High Leverage Diagonal Cutting Plier need replacement or sharpening over time?
The cutting edges are hardened tool steel; they are not replaceable, so the plier is replaced when the edges dull beyond use.
What cutting limit appears first when using the 5 1/2 in plier continuously on hard wire?
The maximum wire cutting diameter is 0.125 in; exceeding that will cause the jaws to slip or the cut to fail before any other limit is reached.
Does the 5 1/2 in High Leverage Diagonal Cutting Plier generate noticeable heat or require extra grip force during all-day use?
The tool has no powered components, so it produces no heat; the high-leverage design reduces the hand force needed for each cut.
