The Knipex 98 55 is an insulated dismantling cutter designed for stripping conductor insulation. It features a fixed hooked blade made from stainless steel with an overall length of 7 1/8 in and a blade length of 1 1/2 in. The straight handle provides a secure grip for cable preparation tasks.

For electricians stripping medium-hard or soft wire

The cutter carries a voltage rating of 1000 V, confirming it meets insulation standards for work on or near energised conductors. This single specification determines whether the tool complies with the safety requirements of the specific electrical environment.
