20MP Bridge Camera with 42x Optical Zoom

The Kodak PIXPRO AZ425RD is a compact bridge camera built around a 20-megapixel sensor and a 42x optical zoom lens. It covers wide-angle scenes and distant subjects without changing lenses. A 3-inch LCD provides framing and playback. One-touch HD video recording is included. The red body distinguishes this model.

Suits Casual Shooters Wanting Long Reach

This camera fits users who want a single device for holidays, family events and wildlife viewing where a phone zoom falls short. Optical image stabilization helps handheld telephoto shots. Buyers who need raw files, fast burst rates, an electronic viewfinder or weather sealing should look at something else. It is not built for low-light sports or professional workflows.

42x Optical Zoom Lens Decides Fit

The 42x optical zoom is the specification that determines whether this camera matches the buyer's needs. It delivers the focal-range flexibility that defines the bridge category. If the shooting scenario never requires that reach, a simpler compact may suffice; if it demands more reach or larger sensors, this model will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 42x optical zoom is functioning correctly after setup?

Zoom fully in on a distant subject and verify the 20-megapixel image remains sharp with optical image stabilisation active, then review the result on the 3-inch LCD display.

What accessories are included with the red AZ425RD and what must I purchase separately?

The camera body, rechargeable battery, charger, wrist strap and quick-start guide are included; an SD memory card for storing 20-megapixel photos and HD video must be bought separately.

Which capacity of the AZ425 series should I choose for maximum zoom reach?

The AZ425RD is the single 42x optical zoom model in the Astro Zoom line, so selecting this version gives you the full 42x range in the red finish.
