What you receive

YAIBA: NINJA GAIDEN Z is a downloadable action game published by Koei Tecmo and delivered as a Steam code. The title carries an ESRB Mature 17+ rating for intense violence, blood, gore, strong language, sexual themes and drug references. You play as Yaiba, a cyborg ninja who slices through zombies with a sword and a mechanised arm in a stylised comic-book world. The product is brand new and activates instantly on Steam.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Players who want a fast-paced, over-the-top hack-and-slash experience with a distinctive visual style will fit right in. The game requires a Steam account and a Windows PC that meets the listed system requirements. Buyers who prefer physical media, offline DRM-free installers, or games rated for younger audiences should look elsewhere. The title is single-player only, so anyone seeking cooperative or competitive multiplayer modes will not find them here.

Graphics requirement that decides compatibility

Minimum graphics specification calls for an NVIDIA GeForce 9800 or better, while the recommended spec targets a GTX 460 or better. A dual-core 2.5 GHz processor and 3 GB of RAM satisfy the minimum baseline, whereas a quad-core 2.7 GHz CPU and 8 GB of RAM meet the recommended tier. You also need 7 GB of free storage for the minimum install and 8 GB for the recommended configuration. Verify your hardware against these figures before purchase.

Questions about this item

Will the Steam DRM for this 2014 title require any future client updates or re-authentication?

The game uses Steam DRM; as long as the Steam client remains installed and you log in periodically, the licence stays valid without separate re-activation steps.

Which component hits its limit first during extended play — the 3 GB minimum RAM or the GTX 9800 graphics?

The GTX 9800 class GPU will saturate before system RAM becomes a bottleneck, especially at higher texture settings in prolonged sessions.

How much fan noise and heat should I expect from a GTX 460 running this game all day?

A GTX 460 under sustained load draws enough power to spin its cooler audibly; case airflow will determine whether temperatures stay comfortable during marathon sessions.
