What this kit is and who builds it

The Kotobukiya MH60 Heavy Weapon Unit 60 Wing Edge Black Version is a plastic model kit designed for hobbyists aged 15 and up. It provides expandable wing and arm units to customise compatible mecha and bishoujo figures. Builders who want a pre-assembled action figure or a toy for younger children will not find this product suitable.

How the bundled parts change the build

The set includes left and right wing units that connect via 5mm ball joints for stable posing. Wings can be joined into one large wing or duplicated for infinite expansion. Individual feather segments articulate separately, while a back arm unit with articulated supporters and a shield grip adds further display options.

Assembly difficulty and common issues

The kit is moulded in PS and ABS plastic and requires manual assembly; no glue is mentioned in the specifications. Builders should take care when handling the many small ball-jointed feathers, as they can detach during posing. Compatibility with other kits depends on the included coupling expansion attachments.

Questions about this item

Will the 5 mm ball-jointed feathers on the Wing Edge unit loosen over time and need tightening?

The small feathers use 5 mm ball joints that hold position well; if joints become loose, a tiny drop of clear nail polish or acrylic floor polish inside the socket restores friction without permanent modification.

What limits how many Wing Edge kits I can connect together for a larger wing span?

Each kit adds roughly 4.84 inches of wing span; practical limits are the weight the 5 mm joints can support and the balance of the host model, so test stability as you add units.

Does the black PS and ABS plastic warp or get brittle after hours under display lighting?

PS and ABS resist heat from typical LED display lights; keep the kit away from direct sunlight or high-wattage spots to prevent long-term discoloration or embrittlement.
