  • Equalises and reclocks signal for reliable long-distance transmission
  • Intelligent EDID handling ensures instant plug-and-play operation

1:2 HDMI 2.0 Distribution Amplifier

The Kramer VM-2H2 takes a single HDMI 2.0 input and splits it to two identical outputs. It supports 4K resolution at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and complies with HDCP 2.2 for protected content. The unit handles data rates up to 17.82Gbps and rebuilds the signal for reliable transmission.

Intelligent EDID and Signal Processing

I-EDIDPro manages EDID communication between source and displays for plug-and-play operation. Equalisation and re-clocking technology reconstructs the digital signal to travel longer distances without degradation. Force RGB mode ensures native RGB delivery when a connected display lacks YCbCr capability. CEC pass-through is available on output one only.

Installations Needing Two Displays from One Source

This amplifier suits AV integrators and home cinema owners who must mirror a single 4K60 source to two screens or projectors. It is not suited for setups requiring more than two outputs, switching between multiple sources, or signal extension beyond the reach of standard HDMI cabling without additional equipment.

Questions about this item

How often will the HDMI connectors need replacement with daily use?

The unit has no moving parts and uses standard HDMI 2.0 connectors rated for repeated insertion cycles; no scheduled replacement is required.

What bandwidth limit appears first when driving two 4K@60Hz displays continuously?

Each output path is limited to 5.94 Gbps per graphic channel, so the total 17.82 Gbps ceiling is reached before any thermal or processing bottleneck.

Does the distribution amplifier generate audible noise or noticeable heat during all-day operation?

The device is fanless and draws minimal power, so it runs silently and stays only slightly warm even when distributing 4K60 4:4:4 signals continuously.
