Sea Salt Silent Linear Switches

The Epomaker Sea Salt set supplies 35 mechanical switches built for quiet linear travel. Each switch uses an initial force of 35g and a bottom-out force of 60g across 2.00 mm of total travel. They arrive factory-lubed with a self-lubricating stem design intended to preserve smoothness over time.

MX-compatible stems and LED slots

The MX-style cross stem accepts most keycap sets with an X-shaped mount, letting you swap caps without changing switches. Integrated LED slots allow backlight to shine through even with opaque PBT housings, supporting per-key lighting customisation. A stainless steel spring is rated for up to 60 million keystrokes in laboratory testing.

For DIY builders wanting quiet linear feel

These switches suit enthusiasts assembling or modifying a keyboard who prefer a light, silent linear action and built-in lubrication. The pack contains only 35 pieces, so buyers needing a full-size or larger layout should look elsewhere. Users who want tactile feedback or heavier actuation will not find it here.

Questions about this item

When will the stainless steel spring need replacement based on the 60 million keystroke lifespan?

The stainless steel spring is rated for up to 60 million keystrokes in lab testing, so replacement depends on your typing volume and could last years under normal use.

At what point does the 2.00 mm total travel become the limiting factor during long gaming sessions?

The 2.00 mm total travel is a fixed mechanical distance; it does not change with sustained use, so the limit you feel first will be finger fatigue rather than a change in switch travel.

How much noise and heat do these factory-lubed linear switches produce when used continuously all day?

Factory lubrication and the linear design keep operational noise low with no tactile click, and the switches generate negligible heat even during extended all-day typing or gaming.
