Sustained Load Performance

The armored design protects the connection from physical damage during sustained mechanical stress. Swivel action maintains secure contact even when conduit movement occurs over time.

Questions about this item

Does the 28SWV clamp generate heat or noise when it stays in place all day?

The bronze armored ground clamp is a passive mechanical fitting with no moving parts or power draw, so it produces neither heat nor audible noise during continuous use.

What conduit or pipe must I already have for the 1-1/4''-2'' clamp to fit?

The clamp is sized for rigid or IMC conduit with an outside diameter between 1-1/4 inches and 2 inches.

Will the swivel feature on the 28SWV work with older bronze clamps already installed?

The swivel acts only on this clamp's own grounding conductor; it does not mechanically couple to or interfere with adjacent clamps of any vintage.
