Protects 1/2 in EMT conduit edges with a snap-on polyethylene bushing in pre-galvanized white
This DOTTIE EMT bushing fits 1/2-inch electrical metallic tubing and snaps on without tools. The polyethylene insert protects wire insulation from sharp conduit edges during pulling. It is sold new in a pre-galvanized white finish for corrosion resistance. Electricians and DIY installers use it to meet code requirements for conduit bushings.
The snap-on design presses onto the conduit end by hand, so no screwdriver or wrench is needed. A loose fit can allow the bushing to slide off during wire pulls, so verify the conduit is true 1/2-inch EMT and not a thinner variant. Over-tightening by hand is not possible, but striking the bushing can crack the polyethylene insert.
Confirm the conduit is standard 1/2-inch EMT with the correct outside diameter for a snap-on bushing. Ensure the application calls for a white pre-galvanized finish rather than a different coating. Check local code to see if a metallic or insulated throat bushing is required instead of this polyethylene model. Orders of $75 or more ship free from the manufacturer.

Press the bushing onto the conduit end until it clicks; the polyethylene sleeve should sit flush with no visible gap, confirming a proper snap-on connection.
The package contains the EMTB50 snap-on bushing only; 1/2 in EMT conduit, connectors and tools are sold separately.
Choose the EMTB50 for 1/2 in EMT; other model numbers correspond to different conduit diameters.
