Conduit Locknut 1-1/4 Inch

The L.H. DOTTIE LNS125 is a steel locknut with a zinc-plated finish designed for securing threaded conduit fittings. It suits electricians and installers who need a reliable fastening component for 1-1/4 inch conduit runs in commercial or residential electrical systems.

Threaded Steel Interface

The locknut engages with standard conduit threads to clamp fittings firmly against enclosures or junction boxes. Its zinc plating provides corrosion resistance for indoor and covered outdoor locations, but the fitting must match the conduit thread pitch exactly to achieve a secure mechanical bond.

125 Trade Size

This locknut is manufactured for the 125 trade size designation, which corresponds to 1-1/4 inch conduit. Selecting this part requires confirming that the connected conduit and fittings share the same trade size; mismatched sizes will prevent proper assembly and compromise the installation.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 1-1/4 in locknut or a different size for my conduit?

Select the 1-1/4 in locknut only when your conduit or fitting has a 1-1/4 in trade size; other sizes will not thread correctly.

What does the 1-1/4 in measurement mean once the locknut is installed?

It matches the trade size of 1-1/4 in rigid or IMC conduit, securing the fitting to a box or enclosure.

How does the threaded steel, zinc-plated construction affect corrosion resistance?

The zinc plating protects the steel threads from rust in damp or outdoor locations while maintaining electrical continuity.
