Product identity

The L.H. DOTTIE NT200 is a two-inch threadless conduit fitting made from zinc-plated steel. It connects rigid conduit runs in commercial and industrial electrical installations where a secure, non-threaded joint is specified.

Decisive specification

The fitting accepts conduit with a 200 trade-size diameter and uses a threadless compression design. Installers who need a threaded coupling or a different trade size must select another part.

Sustained-load behaviour

Zinc plating protects the steel body from corrosion in damp or outdoor environments over long service periods. The threadless mechanism maintains clamping force without loosening under vibration or thermal cycling.

Questions about this item

How does the 2 in threadless opening work once installed in a conduit run?

The 2 in threadless fitting slides over the conduit end and secures with set screws, creating a mechanical grip without cutting threads on the pipe.

What does the threadless design mean for the connection standard and what limits does it impose?

It uses a compression-style coupling rather than NPT threads, so it joins conduit to boxes or enclosures without threading tools but cannot be used where threaded hubs are required.

What physical clearance and mounting hardware does the zinc-plated steel body need?

The straight body fits through a 2 in knockout and requires a standard locknut and set-screw driver; no special brackets or oversized holes are needed.
