Steel Strain Relief Connector

The DOTTIE SR100B850 is a 1-inch steel strain relief connector finished in purple. It secures conduit entries and protects cables from pulling forces in electrical installations. The component is designed for trade and maintenance use where reliable cable anchoring is required.

Sustained mechanical performance

The steel body maintains clamping force under continuous vibration and thermal cycling without loosening. It resists deformation when cables expand and contract during long operating periods. The connector holds alignment in fixed raceway systems that remain energised for extended durations.

Thermal and environmental behaviour

The metal construction dissipates heat from current-carrying conductors without insulation breakdown. Purple coating provides corrosion resistance in damp or outdoor locations. The connector adds negligible resistance to the circuit and requires no additional power to function.

Questions about this item

Does the 1'' steel strain relief connector generate noticeable heat when conduit runs continuously?

The DOTTIE SR100B850 is a passive steel fitting with no electrical components, so it produces no heat during operation.

What conduit size must I already have for this purple strain relief connector to fit?

It is designed for 1'' trade-size conduit, so your existing raceway must match that diameter.

Will the 850 model work with older rigid metal conduit I already have installed?

Yes, the connector threads onto standard 1'' rigid or IMC conduit, making it compatible with legacy installations.
