1/4-Inch Carbon Steel Wedge Anchors

The L.H. DOTTIE W12400 wedge anchors are 1/4-inch diameter carbon steel fasteners with a zinc-plated finish. Each pack contains 50 pieces designed for securing fixtures into concrete or masonry substrates. The four-inch length provides deep embedment for reliable holding power in structural applications.

Installers needing zinc-plated carbon steel anchors

These anchors suit contractors and maintenance teams who require a corrosion-resistant wedge anchor for medium-duty anchoring in solid concrete. Projects that demand stainless steel for highly corrosive environments or a different diameter for specific engineering specifications will need alternative fastener types not covered by this product.

Sustained load performance in concrete

Under continuous tension or shear loads the carbon steel body and zinc coating maintain clamping force without the relaxation seen in short-term impact driving. The wedge mechanism expands uniformly against the hole walls, distributing stress evenly so the anchor resists creep during long-term static loading conditions.

Questions about this item

What concrete drill bit do I need for the 1/4" wedge anchors?

Use a 1/4" carbide-tipped masonry bit to drill the hole before installing each anchor.

Can these carbon-steel anchors contact older galvanized conduit straps?

Direct contact between zinc-plated carbon steel and galvanized steel is generally acceptable in dry indoor conditions.

How do I confirm each anchor is set to the correct depth?

After tightening the nut, the anchor body should sit flush with the concrete surface and the threads should be fully engaged.
