L.H. DOTTIE X12 12'' Ship Auger & Speed-D-Feed Bit Extension

SKU CH-K4E5-5KZC5

Extends ship auger and Speed-D-Feed bits by 12 inches for deeper drilling

  • 12-inch extension reaches deeper holes
  • Compatible with ship auger and Speed-D-Feed bits
  • DOTTIE brand built for trade use
  • New condition ensures full performance
  • Direct-from-manufacturer supply chain

Product Purpose

This 12-inch extension connects ship auger and Speed-D-Feed bits to a power drill, giving extra reach for deep boring tasks in timber and similar materials. It suits electricians, plumbers and carpenters who regularly drill through joists, studs or thick beams where a standard bit falls short.

Who Should Buy

The extension is designed for trade professionals and serious DIY users who need to extend bit length without changing the bit itself. Buyers who only drill shallow holes in sheet goods or who require a different shank profile should look at other accessories.

Critical Specification

The 12-inch overall length is the single dimension that determines whether the tool reaches the required depth; confirm this measurement matches the cavity or timber thickness before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Does the 12'' Ship Auger & Speed-D-Feed Bit Extension include the auger bit or is it just the extension?

The X12 is a 12-inch extension shaft designed to connect to a ship auger or Speed-D-Feed bit; the cutting bits themselves are sold separately.

Is the 12-inch length the only version available for this DOTTIE extension?

The product is listed specifically as the X12 12-inch model; no other lengths or capacity variants are shown for this item.

How does the 12-inch extension affect reach when drilling through timber?

It adds 12 inches of extra length between the drill chuck and the bit, allowing deeper boring without changing the bit itself.
