Kit contents and purpose

This 16.4 ft RGB LED strip kit includes a 12 V DC power supply, a 24-key IR remote and a control button. The 150 SMD2835 emitters produce 900 lumen at 4000 K and suit indoor accent lighting under cabinets, behind monitors or along shelves.

Sustained output behaviour

The strip draws 6 W from the 0.5 A adapter and runs on PU-coated circuitry rated for continuous 12 V operation. Brightness and four dynamic modes remain stable during extended use because the low current keeps voltage drop minimal across the full length.

Thermals noise and power

Passive cooling keeps the installation silent with no fan or moving parts. The 120 V AC input converts to 12 V DC at the supplied adapter, so the strip itself stays cool to the touch. Total system draw is 6 W, well within the adapter’s rated capacity.

Questions about this item

How warm does the 12 V adapter get when the 16.4 ft strip runs at full brightness all day?

The kit draws 6 W from a 12 V 0.5 A supply, so the adapter stays only slightly warm during continuous use.

Does the 24-key IR remote need batteries, or is it powered from the strip?

The remote is battery-operated; batteries are not included in the box.

Can I connect this 16.4 ft RGB strip to the 8.2 ft single-colour strip I already own?

No — the two strips use different controllers and connectors, so they cannot be linked together.
