Extended Reach for Safe Handling

These 17.3 inch silicone cooking tongs provide extra length to keep hands away from grill heat and hot oil. The stainless steel frame resists rust through repeated washing. A pull-tab locking ring holds the jaws closed for compact drawer storage. They suit home kitchens and commercial venues such as cafés and food trucks.

Stainless Steel Frame with Silicone Tips

The tongs combine a rust-resistant stainless steel body with non-slip silicone jaws that withstand up to 450°F for brief contact. Jaws open to a 1 inch capacity and 0.67 inch width, gripping items up to 3.3 lb. The locking mechanism engages with one hand so the tool stays closed until needed.

Check Your Cooking Style Before Buying

Buyers who need fine precision for delicate pastry work may find the jaw width too broad. The 17.3 inch length can feel unwieldy in small sauté pans or crowded indoor stovetops. If you primarily cook low-temperature dishes, the 450°F heat rating offers more margin than necessary.

Questions about this item

How much heat can the 450°F rated silicone tips handle during grilling?

The silicone tips withstand up to 450°F, making them suitable for quick grabs on a hot grill or in a deep fryer without melting.

Will the 17.3" length and 0.67" jaw width fit my grill and storage drawer?

The overall length is 17.3 inches with a jaw width of 0.67 inches, providing extended reach over heat while fitting standard kitchen drawers when locked closed.

How do I engage the locking ring for storage, and what is the common mistake?

Pull the locking ring tab to secure the jaws closed; the common mistake is pushing the ring instead of pulling the tab, which prevents the lock from engaging.
