Compatible Stihl Models

This five-pack of replacement air filters fits Stihl BG45, BG46, BG55, BG65, BG85, BR45C, SH55 and SH85 leaf blowers and trimmers. It replaces OEM part number 42291201800 so owners can keep several spares on hand for routine maintenance.

Replaces OEM 42291201800

The single specification that confirms fitment is the OEM part number 42291201800 printed on the original filter housing. Matching that number ensures the filter seats correctly and maintains the intended airflow for both 2-stroke and 4-stroke petrol engines.

Maintenance Intervals

A clean filter protects the engine from dust and debris during normal blower use, preventing power loss and excess fuel consumption. Inspect the element after every few operating hours and swap in a fresh unit from the pack when the pores appear clogged or the material looks darkened.

Questions about this item

How does the five-filter pack translate to real uptime on a Stihl BG55 blower?

Each filter is a direct replacement for OEM 42291201800, so one pack gives five complete service intervals on BG45, BG46, BG55, BG65, BG85, BR45C, SH55 or SH85 models.

What mounting style does the filter use on the listed Stihl models?

The filter drops into the existing air-box housing on BG45, BG46, BG55, BG65, BG85, BR45C, SH55 and SH85 units with no adapters or fasteners required.

Will the filter physically clear the choke lever on a BR45C trimmer?

Yes, the filter matches the OEM 42291201800 profile, so it seats flush under the cover without interfering with choke or throttle linkages.
