Copper and Iron Test Strips

Lamotte Insta-Test 2994 strips measure copper from 0 to 3 ppm and iron from 0 to 5 ppm. Each pack contains 25 test strips that are 3 in long and 1/4 in wide. A colour chart label is included for direct comparison.

Suits pool, spa and industrial water checks

The strips suit technicians who need quick copper and iron readings on site. Buyers who require pH, chlorine or other parameter measurements should look at something else because this kit only reports those two metals.

Capacity and headroom

Twenty-five strips provide 25 discrete tests before a new pack is needed. The range tops out at 3 ppm copper and 5 ppm iron, so samples above those levels will not be quantified.

Questions about this item

What container do I need to dip the 3-inch strips into for a valid reading?

Use any clean vessel that holds enough liquid to fully submerge the 3-inch length and 1/4-inch width of the strip.

Can I run these copper and iron strips on the same water sample I use for pH strips?

Yes, the strips test for copper (0 to 3 ppm) and iron (0 to 5 ppm) independently, so they work alongside separate pH tests on the same sample.

How do I confirm a strip has reacted correctly after dipping?

Compare the developed colour on the strip to the included colour chart label; a match within the 0 to 3 ppm copper or 0 to 5 ppm iron ranges shows the strip worked.
