Marine Bass Tube Subwoofer

The Bazooka MBT1014 is a 10 inch passive marine subwoofer built for boats and outdoor vehicles that need deep bass without sacrificing cargo space. Its patented tube enclosure fits in tight lockers or under seats while the water resistant housing and UV certified finish stand up to salt spray and sun. The 4 ohm voice coil works with a wide range of marine amplifiers and the gold plated binding posts ensure a corrosion free connection.

Power Handling and Sensitivity

The subwoofer handles 6 to 200 watts of continuous power and delivers 104 dB sensitivity for strong output even with modest amplifier power. Frequency response spans 39 Hz to 1000 Hz so low notes stay audible over wind and engine noise. The 28 ounce magnet structure keeps the driver controlled during normal listening levels and the white paint finish resists fading in direct sunlight.

Sustained Output Behaviour

During extended play the passive design relies on the amplifier for thermal management so the tube itself adds no active cooling. The weather resistant velcro straps and stainless steel mounting hardware keep the enclosure secure under vibration and heavy seas. With a one year warranty and authorised dealer support the MBT1014 is intended for boaters who want reliable bass on every trip not just a weekend burst.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 10.3-inch-wide tube with the included straps and 1-inch self-tapping screws without stripping the bases?

Thread each stainless screw through a strap base into a pre-drilled pilot hole; the 1-inch length seats fully without bottoming out in thin fibreglass or aluminium bulkheads.

What parts of the 1014 subwoofer will need replacement after the 5-year salt-fog and UV certification period?

The white paint finish and velcro-reinforced mounting straps are the only items rated for five years; the 28 oz magnet, 4-ohm voice coil and gold-plated binding posts have no stated service interval.

At what power level does the 39-to-1000 Hz frequency response start to compress during a long set?

The 200-watt maximum power handling is the first limit; sustained output above that level risks voice-coil overheating before any enclosure or suspension non-linearity appears.
