What it is and who it's for

The LASELION LT50 is a handheld laser distance meter that measures up to 50 m or 165 ft with an accuracy of ±2 mm. It suits tradespeople, surveyors and DIY users who need quick indoor distance, area and volume readings. Buyers who require longer outdoor range or integrated Bluetooth data transfer will need a different instrument.

Installation and common issues

The tool ships with two 1.5 V AAA batteries, a carry pouch and a wrist strap so it is ready to use straight from the box. Two built-in bubble levels help keep the unit level for reliable results. Strong sunlight can weaken the laser reflection outdoors, and the auto shutdown after 150 seconds of inactivity may interrupt extended layout work.

Practical limits of the interface

The IP54 rating protects against dust and splashing water but not against heavy rain or immersion. Measurements are shown on a backlit LCD in four selectable units and up to 99 readings can be stored in internal memory. Continuous tracking, Pythagorean three-point calculation and add/subtract functions cover most site maths, while the mute setting silences the beeper for quiet environments.
