Installing the cartridges

Each cartridge slots into its colour-coded bay exactly like the original Canon units. Remove the protective tape, insert until it clicks, and run the printer’s alignment routine if prompted. The most common issue is forgetting to peel the vent seal, which blocks ink flow and triggers a low-ink warning. A second issue is mixing the two black cartridges; the larger pigment black goes in the PGI-225 slot, the smaller dye black in the CLI-226 slot.
