Compatible Canon CL246 Tri-Colour Cartridge

This two-pack replaces Canon CL246 ink cartridges for the Pixma iP2820, MG2420, MG2520, MG2920, MG2922 and MG2924 printers. Each cartridge delivers up to 300 pages at five percent coverage. The set suits home users who print occasional colour documents and photos.

Print Quality and Reliability

Cartridges are manufactured to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 factory standards and conform to US patent regulations. Crisp, clear output is maintained from the first page to the last. The formulation avoids the streaking or fading that can occur with poorly sealed refills.

Cost-Effective Replacement

The twin pack lowers the cost per page compared with single OEM cartridges. It is not intended for high-volume offices that need continuous printing without frequent swaps. Buyers who require pigment black ink for archival documents should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the CL246 cartridge in my Pixma MG2420 and what step do people miss?

Open the front cover, wait for the carriage to centre, press the old cartridge down to release it, then slide the new CL246 in until it clicks; the step often missed is removing the orange protective tape before insertion.

When will the CL246 cartridge need replacing and how many pages should I expect?

Each cartridge yields up to 300 pages at 5 % coverage, so plan to replace it once print quality fades or the printer reports low ink.

What limit appears first during long print runs with the CL246?

The 300-page yield at 5 % coverage is the first limit; heavy graphics or photos will reach it sooner.
