40-inch oscillating DC tower fan

The Lasko DST100 is a 40-inch tower fan that uses a DC motor to deliver airflow across twelve speed settings. A 24-hour timer and sleep mode let the unit run quietly overnight while a remote control adjusts every function from across the room. The slim profile fits against a wall in bedrooms, living rooms or home offices where floor space is limited.

Quiet cooling for bedrooms and offices

Buyers who want near-silent operation at low speeds and the convenience of a remote will appreciate the 34.65 dB minimum noise level and included handset. The fan does not suit workshops or garages that need high-velocity spot cooling or built-in power outlets for tools. It also lacks the pivoting blower design that directs air at sharp angles for drying floors or paint.

DC motor with twelve speeds

The brushless DC motor provides twelve distinct speed steps instead of the usual three, allowing fine-grained airflow control that matches both daytime cooling and night-time whisper-quiet needs.
