One-piece carbon-fibre construction

The LAVA ME 2 is a 36-inch electric guitar moulded in a single piece from Super AirSonic carbon-fibre composite. The process removes most glue joints and yields a body that resists deformation across temperatures from -4 °F to 176 °F and humidity from 10 % to 90 %. It weighs 3.7 pounds and measures 36.87 inches high, 12.7 inches wide and 4.63 inches thick.

Players who need weather-proof portability

Musicians who travel between extreme climates or want an instrument that survives desert heat and polar cold without setup changes will benefit. The integrated FreeBoost system lets you play with reverb, delay and chorus anywhere, no amplifier required. Buyers who prefer the feel and tone of traditional wood construction should look at something else.

Built-in effects and bundled accessories

FreeBoost technology uses the guitar's rear surface as a speaker, providing effects without external gear. The package includes an Ideal Bag 2, an Ideal Pick Mix containing Air, Flow and Focus picks, a USB charging cable and a cleaning cloth. These items let you start playing and shaping tone immediately after unboxing.

Questions about this item

What cables or chargers do I need to power the FreeBoost effects on the Lava ME 2?

The guitar includes a USB charging cable for the built‑in battery that powers the FreeBoost reverb, delay and chorus effects; no separate amp or power supply is required.

Can I keep my existing Elixir Nanoweb strings when I restring this 36‑inch carbon‑fiber guitar?

Yes, the Lava ME 2 ships from the factory with Elixir Nanoweb 012 strings, so the same gauge and brand will fit the HPL fretboard and 21:1 aluminum tuning machines without modification.

How can I verify the FreeBoost system is active after I charge the guitar?

Press the pickup’s power button; the onboard LED lights up and the rear surface of the 36‑inch body immediately emits reverb, delay or chorus without any external amplifier connected.
