Seven-cartridge set for Canon PIXMA printers

This pack contains seven ink cartridges built to replace Canon CLI8 and PGI5 series tanks. It supplies two pigment black cartridges, two dye black cartridges, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow. The set is aimed at owners of compatible PIXMA photo and all-in-one printers who want a ready-to-install multi-colour supply.

Fits listed PIXMA models without modification

The cartridges slot directly into the print heads of the printers named in the compatibility list, which includes numerous iP, MP, MX and PRO series devices. Each tank is filled with pigment-based ink formulated for the same page yield as the original standard-yield cartridges. No firmware updates or hardware changes are required to use them.

Replaces original CLI8 and PGI5 standard-yield tanks

Buyers currently purchasing Canon branded CLI8BK, CLI8C, CLI8M and CLI8Y cartridges can switch to this pack for a lower cost per set. The jump is worthwhile when the printer is one of the listed models and the user prints enough to consume a full seven-cartridge cycle. It is not for printers outside the compatibility list or for users who need high-yield XL capacities.

Questions about this item

How many pages can I print before the 650-page yield cartridges need replacing?

Each cartridge in the set is rated for approximately 650 pages so the 7-pack gives you multiple full cycles before you must swap any colour.

Will the printer run hot or draw extra power when I use these pigment-based inks all day?

Pigment-based ink does not change the printer's heat output or power draw; the device operates at its normal temperature and wattage.

Which Canon printer models must I already own for this CLI8 and PGI5 set to work?

The pack is compatible with PIXMA iP4200, iP4300, iP4500, iP5200, iP5200R, iP6600D, iP6700D, MP500, MP530, MP600, MP610, MP800, MP800R, MP810, MP830, MP950, MP960, MP970, MX850, PRO 6000, PRO 6500 and PRO 9000 series printers.
