Replacement Cartridge Pack

This four-pack contains three black HP 45 cartridges and one tri-color HP 23 cartridge. It is built for owners of compatible DeskJet, OfficeJet and Color Copier models who want a lower-cost alternative to original supplies. The dye-based ink is formulated to match the print quality of the OEM equivalents. Buyers needing pigment-based ink or cartridges for newer printer series should look elsewhere.

Sustained Print Consistency

Each black cartridge yields approximately 1100 pages and the tri-color unit yields about 690 pages at five percent coverage under ISO IEC 24711. The remanufactured shells are refilled to maintain steady output across the full rated life rather than fading after a few dozen pages. Extended idle periods may still cause nozzle clogging typical of dye-based inks.

Drop-In Installation

Cartridges install directly into the listed HP printers without adapters or firmware workarounds. The most common issue is a "non-genuine" warning that appears on the printer display but does not stop printing. Users should run the built-in cleaning cycle if the first few pages show streaks or missing colors.

Questions about this item

Will the LD Products HP 45/23 cartridges dry out or clog if the printer runs all day?

Dye-based ink in these remanufactured cartridges is formulated for continuous printing; the ISO/IEC 24711 yield of 1100 black and 690 colour pages assumes regular use that keeps nozzles primed.

Do I need an HP printer that takes both the HP 45 black and HP 23 tri-colour cartridges?

Yes — the 4-pack only works in printers listed as compatible with both HP 45 (51645A) and HP 23 (C1823D), such as DeskJet 720C, 895Cxi or OfficeJet R60.

Can I mix these LD cartridges with original HP 45 or 23 cartridges still in my DeskJet 890C?

The set is designed as a direct replacement for both HP 45 black and HP 23 tri-colour; mixing brands in the same printer is not tested by the manufacturer.
