STEM catapult set for ages five and up

The Learning Resources Crashapult activity set introduces children to angles, trajectories and early physics fundamentals through hands-on play. Children build and complete high-flying obstacle courses using the included catapult, launch balls, hoop target, funnel and goal cup. A full-colour challenge booklet provides leveled activities that increase in difficulty. The set is designed for children aged five and up and encourages trial-and-error engineering skills.

Check space and user readiness before ordering

The activity set measures ten inches wide by ten inches long and requires a flat surface for the catapult and obstacle layout. No batteries, rubber bands or external power are needed because the catapult is completely child-powered. Ensure the intended user is at least five years old and has the motor control to operate the launch mechanism safely. The package contains one complete set sold as a single unit.

Sustained play relies on manual operation

Because the catapult is powered only by the child's muscle control, performance during extended sessions depends on the user's stamina and consistent technique rather than a motor or spring that could fatigue. The plastic components and launch balls are built for repeated hands-on use across multiple challenge levels. The increasing difficulty of the booklet encourages longer engagement without mechanical wear affecting the experience.
