Lee Filters LEE85 85x115mm Neutral Density 0.6 Reverse Grad Resin camera filter
An 85x115mm resin filter with a reverse 0.6 neutral density gradation for balancing bright horizons at sunrise and sunset
- Balances sunrise exposure with centre-strong 0.6 ND grad
- Smooth transition zone prevents harsh lines in sky
- Resin construction keeps weight low for filter holders
- 85x115mm size fits LEE85 system holders
- Two-stop reduction controls bright horizon at dawn
Built for Sunrise and Sunset
The LEE85 Reverse 0.6 ND filter targets landscape photographers who shoot at the beginning and end of the day. It balances exposure when the brightest part of the scene sits near the horizon. The design helps prevent blown-out skies while keeping the foreground correctly exposed.
Two-Stop Density with Reverse Transition
The filter applies a 0.6 density that reduces light by two stops at its centre. Density tapers away from the middle toward both edges to match the natural light gradient of sunrise or sunset. This fixed transition zone cannot be adjusted once the filter is mounted.
Resin Construction in 85x115mm Format
The filter uses optical resin cut to 85 by 115 millimetres for the LEE85 holder system. Resin is lighter than glass but requires careful handling to avoid scratches. The rectangular shape slides into the holder slots, allowing vertical positioning to align the transition with the horizon.

Questions about this item
Which LEE85 reverse grad size should I choose for my holder system?
The filter measures 85 by 115 millimetres and fits the Lee Filters LEE85 holder range.
What does the 0.6 density actually do to my exposure?
A 0.6 neutral density equals two stops of light reduction, darkening the brightest part of the frame near the horizon.
How does the reverse graduation affect the transition zone?
The density is strongest in the centre and fades toward the top edge, matching the brighter horizon at sunrise or sunset.
