Questions about this item

Will the 1-1/2 S-408 no-lead gate valve thread onto my existing copper pipe without adapters?

The valve uses standard 1-1/2 inch pipe threads, so it connects directly to matching copper fittings without extra adapters.

How can I verify the 104-727NL valve is sealing properly after installation?

Pressurise the line and check the gate seat for drips; a tight seal shows no water at the bonnet or stem packing.

Does the 104-727NL box include pipe dope or Teflon tape, or must I buy sealant separately?

The package contains only the brass gate valve; thread sealant or tape must be purchased separately.
