Legend Valve 105-474NL 3/4 T-448 IPS NL BZE Foot Valve bathware

3/4-Inch No-Lead Bronze Foot Valve

This 3/4-inch no-lead bronze foot valve is designed for plumbing systems that require reliable back-flow prevention. It suits residential and light-commercial installations where lead-free components are mandated. The transparent finish allows visual confirmation of flow direction during maintenance checks. Installers working to current no-lead standards will find it compatible with standard IPS threading.

Upgrade From Leaded Brass Foot Valves

Replacing older leaded brass foot valves with this no-lead bronze model eliminates the lead content that current codes prohibit in potable water lines. The jump is worth it when a renovation or new build must meet no-lead legislation and the existing valve shows wear or scaling. It also applies when a system inspection flags non-compliant fittings that must be swapped before certification. No other performance change is implied by the material switch alone.

IPS Threading And Chemical Warning Constraints

The valve uses IPS threads, so it mates only with matching IPS pipe and fittings; NPT or other thread forms will not seal correctly. California Proposition 65 notices indicate the product contains a chemical known to the state to cause cancer and a chemical known to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. Buyers who need a valve without those specific chemical constituents must select an alternative. No pressure rating or temperature limit is provided in the supplied data.
