Product identification

The Legend Valve 301-104PNL is a 3/4" FNPT by press coupling designed for plumbing installations. It connects a female national pipe thread to a press fitting in water distribution systems. The P-571NL DU designation indicates a lead-free brass construction suitable for potable water use. Professional plumbers and maintenance crews select this fitting for new piping runs and repair work.

Pre-installation checks

Verify that your piping system uses 3/4" FNPT threads on the threaded side and compatible press tubing on the press side. Confirm the press tool and jaw profile match the P-571NL DU specification for a secure joint. Ensure the application pressure and temperature ratings align with the fitting's design limits. Review local code requirements for lead-free compliance before assembly.

Suitability

This coupling suits installers joining threaded pipe to press-connect tubing in residential or commercial water lines. It meets lead-free standards for drinking water applications. Buyers needing a threaded-by-threaded or press-by-press configuration should look at a different fitting type. The product is not intended for gas, fuel or high-temperature steam service.
