Lead-Free Bronze IPS Coupling

This 3/4" x 1" T-4320NL coupling connects polyethylene pipe using IPS dimensions to a male NPT thread. The no-lead bronze body meets potable-water requirements for residential and commercial plumbing installations. It is intended for installers who need a compliant transition fitting for cold-water supply lines. Buyers who require a leaded alloy for non-potable systems or a different thread standard should select another fitting.

Sustained Pressure Performance

The bronze construction resists dezincification and corrosion during continuous exposure to treated municipal water. No-lead alloy maintains structural integrity under normal supply pressures without leaching regulated contaminants. The coupling is not rated for high-temperature hydronic heating loops or steam service. Installers needing elevated temperature ratings must choose a fitting specified for that duty.

Installation Practicalities

Tapered MNPT threads require proper sealant or tape to achieve a leak-free joint on the male end. The PE pipe side uses standard IPS insertion depth with a compatible clamp or crimp ring. Over-tightening the threaded connection can stress the bronze body and cause cracking. Verify pipe outside diameter matches the 3/4" IPS designation before assembly to avoid fitment errors.
